Horrible Product and Terrible Customer Service

I purchased a Kodak Step Instant Mobile Photo Printer for my wife as a Christmas present. I purchased it from Amazon.
We did not take it out of the box and try to use it until several months later. My wife charged it and downloaded the app on her phone and loaded the paper. Everytime she tried printing, the red light would start flashing. She turned it off and back on and the white light would come on but once she hit print, the red light would start again. Whenever it came up to find device, it either wouldn't show or it would come up but when you click on it, it would toggle and then stop and the red light flashed.

I downloaded the app on my phone and tried and had the same results. I googled it and saw fixes that said the paper could be in wrong or something if the red light is on and we reloaded the paper numerous times but that didn't work. I called customer support and they had me reset the printer and delete the app and reinstall it. None of that worked. I called customer support again and they had me do that again and I did but it still would not work and the red light blinked.

Customer support didn't know anything else and told me it had a one year warranty and since we were within a year from the date of purchase, they told me to email customer support at [****] with proof of purchase and my shipping information. I emailed them and attached my receipt from amazon and gave them my shipping information and immediately received an email that they had received my email and it would be processed in the next few days. However, they never got back in touch with me. I emailed them two more times and they have never emailed me back.
I have searched the product and apparently this is a common problem. Their customer service is terrible. I bought this one because I thought Kodak was a good company with good products but apparently not. This thing won't even connect and it won't print. It is trash. I would give 0 stars if it would let me.

Flawed but passable

I often need to print a photo 3-4 times because of the color correcting necessary to make the physical print match the original photo. Images are also consistently streaky, lots of horizonal lines down the image, which I dont recall happening when it was new about a year ago. Probably overpriced for the quality, but hey, it connects to my phone and prints photos on a whim. I already own it, so I've just accepted the poor quality as a quirk rather than toss it completely.

Doesn’t work anymore

Used it a couple times 2 years ago and forgot about it in drawer. Now it won’t stay connected or print and the firmware update has been at 0 % for the past few hours

Horrible HORRIBLE

I have tried for 4 months to get the stupid printer to connect… I have all but begged on the phone and via email for ANY support. So my final solution is review and then explain on every social media platform, every public Kodak platform what a piece of garbage their product product is and try to help as many people as I can NOT make the mistake i mad and think purchasing this or any Other product is a good idea

I HATE IT

I got this printer about a year ago and have used it twice. Every time I use it there’s a new problem with it. And on top of its many problems I bought the same exact paper from another brand and it wont take it it’s completely the same. It’s the canon ZINK paper 2x3 so it’s the exact size and everything this product is horrible I would not recommend it it’s a cool product and I feel like I would love it if it actually worked.
