To upgrade your device's recording time from 28 minutes to 40 minutes, please follow these instructions carefully:

1. Download the Firmware Update:

• First, enter the 15-digit serial number displayed on the sticker on the beneath your REELS device. Once the serial number is entered, the “Submit” button will become enabled.
• Click “Submit” to display the download link for the firmware update file.

2. Prepare the SD Card.

• Find an empty SD card. It's important that the SD card is completely clear of any files.
  
  • Transfer this .BIN file (extracted from the .ZIP file) to your SD card without renaming it, as software updates will only occur if the filename remains unchanged from the original download.

3. Update Your Device:

• Before proceeding, make sure your device, referred to as "REELS," is powered OFF.
  • With the device off, insert the SD card containing the .BIN file into the SD card slot.

• Now, power ON the REELS. The screen will initially remain blank for approximately 15-20 seconds.
  • During the update, the power button light will remain white. After this period, the device will power on as usual, indicating the update is complete.

4. Remove the .BIN file from the SD card:

• Remove the .BIN File from the SD card to prevent firmware updates on every power-on. You can do this by formatting the SD card through the REELS settings or by erasing the .BIN file on a computer after removing the SD card.

5. Completion:

• Your scanner is now updated, and the recording capability has been extended to 40 minutes.

Please Note:

• The recording duration varies depending on the reel size:
  • A 7-inch reel can record about 25 minutes.
  • A 9-inch reel can record about 35 minutes.

Following these steps will ensure your device is updated successfully, allowing for extended recording times.
