Easily the shittiest instructions I have ever had the misfortune of using. You'd think there would be an instruciton on scanning a slide, but there is not. Also, the feeder cannot accept any sized insert and still allow slides to slide through it. It is horrible. There is nothing intuitive whatsoever about this piece of crap.

A good little scanner at a fair price. Color and brightness adjustments are what you'd expect at the price point which brings me to the down side. Once the images are edited on the computer using good editing software, one can't put them back onto the SD card and view them on the convenient little screen. Tech service didn't really know the details of why this doesn't work and could not offer a work around so not much help there. So good for scanning but not for viewing.

Also - the scanner underscans 35 mm slides - doesn't capture the edges and if the subject fills the slide then it's a problem. I put it in sideways, got all of the image I wanted and then could not rotate the image - no function on the scanner. Once the image is edited with outside software I was SOL.

FAULT: If you select Yes to delete an image, it DOESN'T delete the image. If you select No to delete an image, it DOES delete the image.

SD card included was too large and not compatible with scanner.

The Side n Scan digital scanner works well. I have transferred about three hundred slides and more to do. I have noticed that some of the slides had poor color. Maybe because of the original lighting was florescent lighting. The scanner has image brightness and color adjustments. The images were improved!
The scanner does not include an HDMI cable for going to the TV. Which cable or adapter is needed? What size or what type of HDMI is needed? I have connected an SD card directly to the TV for displaying the photos. It worked but kind of slow.
Have not tried color or B/W negatives yet, but it works well for my purposes!
